No Baby Pandas This Year

If you were hoping like us that the National Zoo's female panda Mei Xiang was pregnant, prepare to be disappointed.

After weekly testing and careful research, zoo officials have concluded that "that Mei Xiang experienced a pseudopregnancy." Apparently, it's not an easy thing to determine if a panda is pregnant. See the Post on the news.

Although real live pandas might be hard to come by, this October sculptural ones won't be -- if you're prepared to pay.
