Unbuckled Roundup

Holy crap! Last night's DCist concert, featuring Cartel and Bicycle Thieves, was, in our opinion, a huge success! The show was packed with over 200 people; both of the bands put on great sets and sounded amazing; tons of prizes and giveaways were handed out; and despite the fact that the Black Cat backstage felt like an uncomfortable hipster sauna, everybody seemed to be having a wonderful time. We're so thrilled that so many people came out to support two fantastic local bands, and we hope you enjoyed yourselves. We certainly enjoyed meeting all the bloggers, DCist readers, and general music fans that came up and introduced themselves.
If, for some totally unfathomable reason, you weren't able to make it out to Unbuckled last night, you can check out earlier interviews and profiles of Cartel and Bicycle Thieves here, here, and here. They truly are two very talented groups who couldn't be nicer, so we heartily recommend that you visit their websites and check out future shows.
Tons o' Unbuckled photos can be seen over at Flickr; if you happened to take some shots yourself, upload them to Flickr and tag them with "Unbuckled." The shot of the crowd above is by John of prodandponder.com, and the shots of Cartel (above) and Bicycle Thieves (at right) are by DCist Kyle.
Were you at the show? What did you think? Leave your opinions and reviews in the comments - we'd love to hear what you thought of the concert and ways in which we could make it better for you (including installing dozens of fans in the backstage so everybody doesn't melt into one gigantic puddle). We hope to make Unbuckled a semi-regular thing, so keep your eyes peeled for future information, and thanks for coming out!

Great folk and times. Will definitely hit Iota Sunday night for Cartel again! Though I don't think they'll carry the beloved PBR..
