Oil Spill at Department of Justice

DOJ.jpgSeveral news organizations are reporting that employees of the Federal Government working at 1425 New York Avenue should not come to work today due to an oil spill. The building involved houses the Department of Justice's Office of the Inspector General. There's no word on the cause of the spill or the condition of wildlife inside the building; according to NBC4, officials are not yet saying what kind of oil was spilled, so all the fuss could be over a gentle massage gone wrong.

In any case, we'll be on the lookout for new developments.

it was a diesel oil spill in the gargae below the building, happened yesterday, the concern is over the fumes

What wildlife is in the building? Canaries? Rats? Stool pidgeons? OK, seriously, what kind of wildlife is in the building?

I think the wildlife reference was a joke on the oil-soaked otters people saw after spills like the Valdez. I think he could have laid the sarcasm on a little thicker to make the joke clearer, but either way I'm pretty sure there no actual wildlife in that building.
