DCist Stalks "The West Wing"

Ask, and ye shall receive. DCist reader and photographer Greg Heegn took pity on our plea for any and all information on West Wing sightings around town last weekend. The NBC drama was in town filming for its final episodes. Greg reports that he saw both Bradley Whitford (Josh Lyman) and Allison Janney (C.J. Cregg) filming small spots along 1600 Penn. Ave. around 1 p.m. on Saturday. So that we wouldn't feel too left out, Greg helpfully snapped the following pictures.

Bradley Whitford in front of the White House. We can spot that mop top hair from a mile away.

Allison Janney gets a walkthrough from the director. After shooting the two actors were seen speaking with bystanders, taking photographs and signing autographs, which also makes us a little jealous. Also, is it just me or does Allison Janney's hair look much darker then usual? Thanks Greg, for fullfiling our stalker fantasies.

Update: Our readers are the best. See below the jump for more West Wing pictures!

They were also filming in Cleveland Park at John Eaton on Sunday morning between 8 and 11am. I drove by--wasn't able to get pictures.

Show went south when they picked two moderates to represent both parties. Should have tried to at least pick one hardline party guy. I mean come on who can believe that a liberal Republican from CA can ever win the party's nomination. If an independent social conservative like John McCain can't win then we all know that this Alda crap is just that -- crap. Blah!

I got some pictures outside of John Eaton on Sunday ... go here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/edwardaggie98/

I got a few photos at the White House on Saturday as well. Mine are at: http://www.flickr.com/photos/natapics/

frick the pictures of the shoot, where did they go out to on the town?

I saw Janney and Whitford at Charlie Palmer on Saturday night. They arrived around 9:30, and shared the shellfish platter. They appeared to be having a good time, though not *that* good of a time, if you know what I mean.

Allison Janney's hair has been dark all season.

The "Waiting for action" shot was actually in Baltimore (I'm in the shot, so I should know). Shortly after this was taken, Bradley Whitford bent over double to examine a stray ladybug on the lowest step of the cathedral. He was pretty alert for that early in the morning on the first day of a location shoot...

I wish I had been there.

Janney's hair is definately too dark. I believe that she is putting in some dark color in it.

I hate to see West Wing come to an end.

It sure is a great show.

A great show it will be missed.
