DCist Reports Live From Deluge '06
Given that this may well be the storm Al Gore has been warning us about, DCist is going to follow the lead of its mainstream media competitors and assign the staff to cover Deluge '06 from every possible angle.
Ryan will stay inside directing the news team, while I hunt down the mayoral candidates to see what they're planning on doing about this rain. Sommer will be out to see if that whole story about the kite and key is true, while Kyle and Nicole are going to track down mud football players and join in. Hemal will be reporting on rainwear do's and don'ts, while Amanda and the music writers will be creating entire playlists that feature songs about rainy days. Michael and the foodies will most likely be sampling entrees at local outdoor cafes. Colin will be reporting on road conditions from the DCist SkyCopter, and Tom will probably find a way to hack AccuWeather's radar into the DCist Map.
Stay tuned as we bring you live and breaking news on Deluge '06.

most awesome graphic ever.
Martin, LOL. Ever think of becoming a graphic designer? this picture...man, what skills!
He looks so happy to be standing in the rain.
hilarious! even without the graphic. I've been wondering where the blogosphere has been with the rain-music playlists.
Forget that six-year-old. The four-year-old who drew that is a genius. I'm sure it could fetch at least $50,000.
"Tom will probably find a way to hack AccuWeather's radar into the DCist Map."
Nice, this site is unbelievable... hacking into a service that you can license to offer users of the site. Classy. Do you even realize what it is you write.

AccuWeather invests in the products it offers on their website. They have products that are free for people to use, and others they have that can be licensed for a fee. I am sure they will license the map to DCist for a reasonable fee.
I am dying to know the results of the kite and the key! Can we get a graphic for that, please?Keep us posted!
Dear nanana,
*Whoosh*.
Love,
Concerned citizen
Is that snark that DCist has introduced? DO I DETECT PATRONIZING? I am a READER! BOW TO ME!
Just kidding folks, and perhaps nanana needs to brush up on what exactly the word 'hack' can mean.
wow
baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
annoying sheep aren't we?
Man, flame DCist for one inappropriately flip morning roundup and they go all MS Paint on that ass. Fine, Martin: it was just a little rain, and you're not a communist for preferring Ghana over the U.S. Now, is Cakelove is better than Magnolia or not?!? Tell me what to think!
You must incorporate one of Jackson Browne's finest, "Before the Deluge" in your post.

Alas, they don't sell said music. Tsk tsk.
