That Whitmore Has Your Name All Over It

Fall (Winter) by Maggie MichaelNow's the time to get your ticket to the Third Annual Transformer Silent Auction and Benefit Party. Held on Saturday, November 4, at the Edison Place Gallery, the night promises to be an evening of creative company, great food, and a celebration of local talent.

The five-year-old Transformer Gallery is hosting the event, which will start with a silent auction between 7 and 9:30 p.m. for original works from over eighty artists. Step up and bid on pieces by Ken Ashton, Steve Cushner, Maggie Michael (pictured), Kathryn Cornelius, Jiha Moon, Ian Whitmore, Brandon Morse, and a host of others who represent the best of the best from the D.C. art scene.

Tasty hor'deurves from local haunts like Viridian and Bar Pilar will be provided, along with a complimentary beer and wine bar. The proceeds will go back into the arts, helping to buy exhibition materials and support programs such as peer-mentorships for emerging artists. Tickets are a bit pricey at $75, but you'll be helping to prove our fine city has more talent than just creating political scandals. The event sold out last year, so stop by Transformer's Auction page for more information soon.
