Go Home Already: You Can Dance if You Want To

2006_1204_gha.JPG>> Metro police have arrested a 17-year-old from PG County in connection with the now 8 sexual assault incidents that have been reported in the past two weeks in and around Shaw and Howard University. For those detectives and officers involved in the arrest, allow us to say Thank You! You all get a lot of grief in this city, so here's to a job well done. [WUSA]

>> Dude, Pareene, next time you crash a Capitol File party, get bear-hugged by former Katherine Harris staffers, and avoid being punched in the face by those crazy LNS kids, can we come with you? Pretty please? We totally would have recognized Fran Drescher. [Wonkette]

>> Mayor Williams announces redevelopment plans for Waterside Mall in Southwest, gets down on his knees and begs everyone to name it after him and never forget he was the one behind it. [NBC4]

>> Escalator on west side of Georgia Ave./Petworth Metro stop to close for 2 years, to make way for condos no one's really sure anyone will buy. [Free Ride]

>> Just what D.C.'s staid Metro system needs: Furries who will dance for money. Must have been an Anime convention in town. [Live from the Third Rail]

Is the entrance blocked for the equipment or is it because they are building a new entrance that will be connected to the development? If it is because of equipment, couldn't they have built some temporary covered walkway out of harms way?

If people decide to move into those Condos, then safeway had better start being a little bit more pleasant in its appearance. Great as it is, it's still the hood supermarket in many ways.
