Go Home Already: Deadly Bacteria+Cupcakes, Yum

dcistsantarchy.jpg.jpg>> While the Post spends precious column inches on the risk of infectious disease in our produce, some GW microbiology students have dedicated their study to a more harrowing bacterial risk: those slimy, salmonella-ridden beer pong balls. [GW Hatchet]

Is that a flash pop-up ad I see? Cmon...

Can we please retire the term "hipster"? It's an over used generalization.

"hipster" and "foodie" are two works I hate.

ed. note - minor change made to the McKinney blurb, since I neglected to mention what zany competition she was in. But I rather like "hipster", which has become one of those fantastically charged descriptors. It's either admiring or condescending, totally at the discretion of the reader.

DCist Jeff - That's kind of exactly my point. It's like labeling someone a liberal or conservative; it almost doesn't matter what you meant when you said it, the meaning of the word is in the eye of the beholder. Thus rendering the word somewhat useless.

how about hip foodster to really get that stomach churning?

Finally, there a photo of me in a Santa suit and a green backpack taking a picture of a friend of mine in front of the Washington Monument on DCist. Scratching that one off my Life Accomplishments to do list now.
