Fenty Finally Becomes Mayor
Now that's what we call efficiency.
Not six hours after being officially sworn-in as the District's fifth elected mayor since Home Rule, Adrian Fenty's presence is already being felt on the city's official homepage. Gone is the image of former Mayor Anthony Williams atop the page, as is his "Mayor's Welcome." Both have been replaced by Fenty. Williams' blog is also gone, though it won't soon be missed -- it's last entry was dated March 23, 2006. And in case you were wondering if Fenty was going to take it slow today, think again -- his official newsroom is abuzz with activity, with eight press releases announcing a number of key appointments.
Welcome, Mayor Fenty.

Nice going!
The same can not be said of the DC Council web site
In fact you get more accurate information on the council members on dc.gov than on www.dccouncil.washington.dc.us
Or random pages deeper in the site, like the 'abuzz with activity' link:

I almost missed the bowtie!
Fenty looks like he just answered a question right in biology class and is very, very impressed with himself.
The worst Fenty photos EVER are also the official ones: http://dc.gov/mayor/photo/index.shtm
oh noes, my driver's license is now outdated.
