District Idol's Dreams Derailed
Start singing the blues D.C., just don't do it in front of a panel of judges hostile to you and a nation with their fingers literally on the button of your career. Last night Catholic University student Antonella Barba was dismissed from American Idol in a cut that chose the final 12 contestants. While the judges were shocked when voters gave Jason "Sundance" Head the boot, they seemed content to let Barba go.
Much of the interest in the Capitol Hill waitress has centered around some racy pictures taken of Barba and her support from Vote for the Worst. A few weeks ago the Web site suggested Idol viewers vote for her, in some sort of attempt to stick it to the man and distort voting. So come on back to Washington, Antonella, we're sure there are plenty of openings for singing servers at Mimi's.

I assumed they were content with her leaving since she sucked whereas Sundance was actually kind of okay.

The racy pics and (lame) controversy were the only modestly interesting thing about her. She prob wouldn't have made it this far w/o them. I'd give even odds she leaked them herself.
