Here's the Scoop
As you make your way to lunch, why not scrap the salad and go for a scoop? In an effort to make tax day a little easier, Ben and Jerry's is offering a free scoop of ice cream to customers between noon and 8:00 p.m. today. Maybe it's to time see if Stephen Colbert's AmeriCone Dream inspires feelings of patriotic pride while you fork over cash to the IRS.
Be warned, lines tend to get long during this yearly confection free-for-all. Last year dozens of people waited outside the Dupont Circle scoop shop during the evening rush-hour. So please be considerate while you wait, or you could just shell out the two bucks tomorrow, though we all know free ice cream tastes 87% better* when it's free.

thanks :)
running out now!
Already got mine. No line at the one in Rockville Town Center - too cold and windy or maybe the MoCo government employees haven't gotten the word yet.
Lines at the Old Post Office Pavillion around 12:45 were short and fast-moving.
I have boycotted B & J since they discontinued Rainforest Crunch.
Dupont didn't have any Americone Dream! However, I did get some yummy Coffee Coffee Buzz Buzz or whatever at 12:30, when the line was about 12 deep but quick-moving.
Woo-hoo! I'll be stopping by the Eastern Market B&J after work.
Good luck getting a cone for two dollars, you morons. Do some fact checking, okay? A single scoop costs $15.40. A double will set you back $19.80.
