'D.C. Madam', Give Us Something to Talk About

Radio TowerWe have to admit, our burning desire for a real-life Washington sex scandal probably causes us to pay too much attention to Deborah Jeane Palfrey. She, of course, is the owner of Pamela Martin & Associates, alleged to provide prostitutes to the D.C. area for some 13 years. But even our interest in Madam Palfrey doesn't extend to listening to a five hour radio interview.

Despite giving an "exclusive" interview with ABC earlier this month, Palfrey has apparently recorded an extensive chat with wsRadio.com. The Internet radio group, which offers two clips of the interview online, is now selling the tape to the highest bidder. Considering that she's currently facing civil and criminal charges in connection to her escort business, which she says provided "legal sexual and erotic services", we're a little skeptical that she could fill five hours of radio with titillating stories or even just slightly amusing anecdotes while not further incriminating herself.

You'll remember that Palfrey, who continues to intimate that she'll release her 15,000-strong client list, recently gave us a "sneak peak" of her "high profile" D.C. clients. Two words: Harlan Ullman. Needless to say, we were not amused. For now we're pinning all our hopes for a summertime sex scandal on the entrepreneur's appeal to the Supreme Court to stop her criminal trial. She claims not to have been provided with sufficient legal counsel. Frankly, the legal heft of her claim doesn't matter to us, we'd just like something to happen with this tale of high-class hookers in the nation's capital that keeps getting more boring at every turn.

did you see the post today about the offical from USAID who resigned? According to ABC News, Tobias said he contacted the escort service "to have gals come over to the condo to give me a massage" and that there had been "no sex" involved.

You're a moron. There's nothing boring about this story, and it should be kept alive at all costs. This list absolutely needs to be released, and it will be a testament to the transparency (or lack thereof) or our government if this is hindered due to the many powerful men who could be implicated by such information.

Totally disagree, this is going to be the story of the year. There are alot of hypocrits in Washington D.C. and many are going to be outed in the coming weeks. I am looking forward to hearing what Ms. Palfrey has to say.

It's ironic how a person's sex life and sexuality is so often used to ruin his/her career. Politics is all about "seemliness". Human sex lives will never change one wonders though if politics ever will.

What's so wrong with this story? The crooks are finally running into the closet. Ullman was busy shock and aweing the wrong crowd--but at least he had fun, I tell ya.....
