This is one of those photos that pops up on the DCist photostream and screams, "Pick me! Pick me!" Or maybe it squealed and giggled, with the voices of all the little children whirring around at light speed. Thanks for the POTD nod today. I have to say thanks to the railing outside of the merry-go-round for being there and allowing me to hold my camera steady, cuz I didn't think to bring my tripod for daylight shooting.
awesome shot. i've only ever been to glen echo for the friday night contra dance, and i wasn't sure the carousel was still working. i'll need to head up there during daylight hours sometime.
So the kid who went flying off that merry-go-round, he's okay, right? Or did he suffer permanent brain damage? Not that you could really tell, given kids nowdays.
If only it really went that fast...

The thought of it going that fast makes me want to hurl. I can barely get on with my kids when it's going at regular speed. Great pic though!
