Go Home Already: Gone Today, Here Tomorrow

>> Yesterday we wrote about the Amish market in Burtonsville being relocated next summer when the shopping center where it's located will be demolished. The blogger at Just Up The Pike seems to have information that the owner of an acre-sized plot behind Route 198 has expressed interest in leasing to the market, thus keeping Burtonsville residents sated with an uninterrupted supply of delicious Amish fried chicken.

>> Fucking fantastic! A goddamn federal appeals panel struck down the cocksucker-esque government policy that allows stations and networks to be fined if they broadcast shows containing motherfucking obscene language. Holy shit, that's great news. [The New York Times]

Y'know DCist... I've always been troubled by the fact that I never seem to find the proper place in a sentence to employ the always visually-thrilling 'cocksucker-esque' in my normal, everyday lexicon. But now, thanks to this post, I have a place. Bravo, and keep up the motherfucking awesome work.

Awesome. Fuck that virus called the FCC.

So no buses now on Independence or Constitution... So that leaves them with Massachusetts Ave or Virginia Ave or the SE-SW "Expressway" to get across town? That hardly seems like a good idea. At least Independence and Constitution were wide enough and (during non-rush hour) relatively clear.

So now DC residents and commuters are going to have to deal with even more traffic on key commuter routes.

I am exceedingly disappointed that it's 10:40am and monkeyrotica has not chimed in with his own poetic musings on the word "cocksucker-esque."

"Cocksucker-esque" is far too cumbersome and typical sounding. Try "Cocksuckerly" or maybe "Cocksuctional" instead.

I was also thinking 'Cocksucktastic' -- It just flows off the tongue.

If Burtonsville doesn't get its act together, the Dutch Country Farmers Market could move to Upper Marlboro: Check out Just Up The Pike.
