Photo of the Day: June 18, 2007

If you weren't outside enjoying the sunny weather this weekend, this would have been an excellent alternative. Flickr user LaTur spent Sunday morning at Cafe Bonaparte with a crepe and a cup of joe, taking this nice shot of the ambiance that makes you relaxed just looking at it. Perfect for a hectic Monday back at work. EXIF.

you know, some of these places you talk about on here, I dont know, and i cant be the only one. can we have some more information about the location or the place when it appears in the PotD?

Sure, we usually do try to include information when we talk about a location, though I neglected to add the link this time. Keep in mind that if you click through to the photo on Flickr, the photographer will often have more information about a site.

Cafe Bonaparte is at 1522 Wisconsin Avenue in Georgetown, and although you can find their web site at www.napoleondc.com, I will warn you that it's vaguely terrifying with the giant pixelated Napoleon face.

Flickr has a map feature in which the photographers can pin point the location of the shot on an easily navigable map. DCist should encourage DCist taggers to do this simple task.
