Texans want you to celebrate Juneteenth -- and to remember it's a Texas holiday, and why.

Six monkeys will be allowed to roam free at the National Zoo this summer, though they'll have some kind of lo-jack probation radio collar on so they can be called back by zookeepers.

And WHY isn't law enforcement issuing these to teenagers, in lieu of just releasing them on their own recognizance? Just replace the radio locator with a tazer and you'd have something akin to The Gamesters of Triskellion, although I doubt some of the teen perps would look as good as Angelique Pettyjohn.

they're out there every summer (which is pretty cool - i highly suggest stopping by to see them). and they can't be called back - it's just a radio collar so they can be found if they go missing.

Since when are the free roaming monkeys news? I've always believed there are approx. 535 working on The Hill. Of course these don't have a homing device on them ... but they carry blackberries.
