We Has a Winner

OMGeez guys! We were completely overwhelmed with your submissions for our LOLCats V Fest ticket giveaway contest. They were numerous, hilarious, and covered almost every possible angle of converging the I Can Has Cheeseburger lexicon with the Virgin Festival. We put it to a vote, and the DCist staff chose Nicole Young's submission as our clear winner. Congrats Nicole, you'll soon get some living proof.

Of the many, many Richard Branson-based entries we received, this one by Noah Smit was our favorite.

And while this one wasn't a serious entry — the creator will be out of town for the concert and can't go, so he just made some for fun — this Spoon spoof would have been a serious contendor if it were actually in the running.

I had an awesome idea for this, but didn't get a chance to implement it. I think the themed LOLcats contest format begs to be repeated.

At the risk of sounding like sore loser, who judged these? Several of my friends and I entered, and they were pretty damn good. The winning entry you posted is great, but the others aren't very good compared to our submissions. Shouldn't we have left it to a public vote so we know that Amanda isn't just choosing her friends?
