There have been so many fun shots in the Flickr pool this week; it probably helps that summer has officially started and we're leading up to some vacation time in a few days. We've always thought one of the fun things about living in a big city is that people just stake out a spot in a park or on a street corner to show off their talents. One day you'll run into the United House of Prayer's brass band playing on Connecticut Avenue, another day you'll see slackrope walkers in Meridian Hill Park. Flickr user number IX was lucky to run into these dancers in Dupont Circle. As the commenters note, the amazed crowd is nearly as fun to watch at the acrobatic performers. EXIF.

I saw these guys last weekend, too - there was a local cop off to one side who they referred to as their manager. He and his gun enjoyed the show, even clapped a few times. Out of curiousity, do cops allow street performances like this, are there permits invovled, etc? I'm intrigued.
