Only in D.C.: The Nina Totin' Bag

ninaTotinBag_l.jpgWe couldn't help but giggle when we heard an ad on WAMU today for The Nina Totin' Bag, a collectible canvas bag honoring NPR's Legal Affairs correspondent (who is certainly getting a workout lately with all the Supreme Court decisions being handed down in rapid succession), Nina Totenberg. Shouldn't it be the Nina Totenbag, then?

Looks like The Hill had the first word on the collectible bags, which were passed around at an event in May in honor of the NPR Lobby day. At the time, word was that NPR quickly ran out of bags, but now it appears they have made a limited number available for sale at the NPR Shop. You know, right next to the Wait Wait Don't Tell Me Water Bottles.

So, how big of an NPR geek do you have to be order a Nina Totin' Bag? No really, we need to know.

Every lawyer in town will have one!

Geeked out to admit, I scored one in May and use it every day now. Nina Totin' Bag ROCKS!

Nina is FIERCE. Simply fierce. I'd buy that bag in a second if I ever actually used tote bags.

Oh god. I'm pretty sure my mom would sell her first-born (my brother) for that.

Ok, the Nina Totin' Bag sounds pretty darn nifty.
I, however, am holding out for the Ari Shapirumbrella.

c'mon... what about some Click & Clack tap shoes?
