Reinoso Assistant Fired Over Nude Photos

Poor Victor Reinoso. First the acting Deputy Mayor for Education gets caught up in a plagiarism scandal, then D.C. Council chairman Vincent Gray delays his confirmation vote, calling into question whether Reinoso should be in his job, or if anyone should have his job in the first place. The guy could only be more embattled if he had a sex scandal hanging over his head. What's that you say?

The Examiner reports that one of Reinoso's assistants, D'Wanna Lee, was fired Friday after nude pictures of her former boyfriend were plastered all over DCPS headquarters. Lee had reportedly been in a relationship with an employee of the company that provided building management for DCPS -- the same man who appeared in the nude photos, which apparently featured him naked on a bed, and were printed and posted up in bathrooms and various offices in the building on Friday. Must have been some bad break-up, eh?

Obviously, this "scandal" doesn't directly involve Reinoso, but the episode doesn't exactly make him look like an especially effective boss or judge of character at a time when he desperately needs to convince skeptics on the Council that he's the right man for the right job. Lee was working at a level high enough to be earning $92,700, so this wasn't some oddball, new-hire receptionist, but someone who had a degree of responsibility under Reinoso. We can imagine Vincent Gray twirling his mustache now.
