MONDAY:
Pushcart Prize-winning author Katherine Taylor will be at Olsson's Books & Records in Dupont Circle to talk about her debut novel Rules for Saying Goodbye, a coming-of-age tale that straddles the line between fiction and non-fiction. 7 p.m.

TUESDAY:
Man about town Chris Mooney, author of The Republican War on Science and Washington correspondent for Seed magazine, will be at Cafe Scientifique at The Front Page in Ballston to give a short presentation and answer questions about his latest, Storm World: Hurricanes, Politics, and the Battle Over Global Warming. Get there at 6 p.m. to hear from the man who predicted the Katrina disaster in New Orleans 100 days before it happened.

THURSDAY:
If The Good Shepherd wasn't enough for you, Pulitzer Prize-winning New York Times reporter Tim Weiner will be at Politics and Prose to discuss his latest book Legacy of Ashes: The History of the CIA. OK, so it doesn't involve Matt Damon and Angelina Jolie, but Weiner's critical look at the agency is at least getting decent reviews. 7 p.m.
