About Tonight

2007_0815_abouttonight.jpg

>> A Place To Bury Strangers bring their surf rock inflected shoegaze (with just a hint of Echo and The Bunnymen) to the backstage at the Black Cat. Airiel opens. 9 p.m., only $7.

>> Georgie James plays an acoustic set at DC9 tonight during the ShervinFoto Book Release Party. Shervin Lainez' Happy Accidents documents 25 D.C. bands over the past 2 years. The book comes with a compilation CD or 12 tracks from 12 bands in the book. No cover, 9 p.m.

>> The Avalon Theater hosts a special screening of The Regular Lovers, Philippe Garrel's autobiographical film set in late 1960s Paris that sounds eerily like Bernardo Bertolucci's The Dreamers -- which both star Louis Garrel, son of Philippe. 8 p.m.

>> Michael Yates will discuss and sign his new book, Cheap Motels and a Hot Plate, which chronicles an economist's vision of the great American road trip, at Busboys and Poets. 6:30 p.m.

Sexy Fistula. Really, that's what I see every time you use this person's photos.

That is all.

Awesome that I - and the one or two other people who've checked these comments - just wasted 20 seconds of our lives looking up fistula online.

Good going asshole. I mean, you fistula.
