>> In case you missed Chapel Hill's The Old Ceremony (pictured) last time they were in town, they'll be at the Rock and Roll Hotel tonight with Junior League, Unwed Sailor and John Pringle. We've raved in the past about lead singer Django Haskins' Nick Cave-meets-Ben Folds stage presence, and since then we've picked up their 2006 release Our One Mistake. If you can't make the show, we highly suggest giving them a listen anyway. 8 p.m. $10/$14

>> The Muslim comedy tour, Allah Made Me Funny, tries its best to reconcile post-9/11 antagonism with light-heartedness. Co-founders and comics Preacher Moss and Azhar Usman performed at the Lisner earlier this year and are back to make light of racial anxiety at HR-57's Riot Act Comedy Club. Showtimes at 8:30 and 10 p.m., both tonight and Saturday. To respect the performers, no alcohol will be served, and the typical corkage policy will be discouraged. (Leave the vino at home). $20.

>> It is truly the end of the summer when Wolf Trap Opera closes up shop. This weekend is the final performance of the company for young singers, a staged production of Mozart's timeless classic The Magic Flute. Even someone who knows nothing about opera is practically guaranteed to enjoy this. The Queen of the Night, South African soprano Bronwen Forbay, was nothing short of incredible last year in Telemann's Orpheus. Friday and Saturday, 8 p.m. Actual seats from $36 to $58, or picnic on the lawn for $8. Bring along the mosquito repellent.

>> There's not much to recommend about a party being hosted at the Clarendon Ballroom tonight by Hot 99.5 -- a special acoustic performance by members of Good Charlotte? Yikes -- but Perez Hilton die-hards might want to swing by anyway in the hopes of meeting the $7.5 million lawsuit man himself, who will be on hand for the free "Little Black Dress Party," which gets going around 10 p.m.

SATURDAY:

>> It's going to be a beautiful day, so spend it at the last weekend of the Montgomery County Agricultural Fair. Because nothing says happiness like pig races and funnel cake. $7 for adults, $20 for an all-day wristband for rides.

>> Mousetrap celebrates eight years of Brit-pop dance nights tonight. We certainly hope there will be cake. $10, 9:30 p.m, Black Cat mainstage.

SUNDAY:

>> DC9 hosts Dark Meats, a 14 member collective featuring members of the Elephant 6 Collective, (Neutral Milk Hotel, Olivia Tremor Control, Elf Power and others). Metric's rhythm section also perform as Bang Lime. It's worth $8 just to find out how 14 people could possibly fit on the DC9 stage.

>> Is it reformed awesome mid-1990s underground indie bands night in D.C.? Black Cat is hosting Geoff Farina of The Secret Stars' new band, Glorytellers, with DCIC at 9 p.m.
