Touch Up D.C. #8

Flickr user Julianasur, aka web designer Juliana Diaz, uploaded this trashscape of the area around the National Mall as her entry to our August-long Touch Up D.C. feature. Is it a damning political statement, or a creepy apocalyptic vision of the future? Or both? Thanks for your entry Juliana, and remember that there's only about a week left to tag your touched up photos in Flickr with "touchupdc" or email them to sommer (at) dcist.com.

Ohhhh, I can't wait for the whining and bitching!
The best IMNSHO
Wow, this is by far the best one, in my opinion! They've all been fun, but this one is creative, looks real and will surely spark some interesting conversation!!
Agreed--this is really well-executed. Awesome.
See, there's nothing wrong with this one. The common man giving up his life for his country is left out of it.
And, it's also the best "touch up" hands down.
I can't believe someone desecrated our big phallic tribute to the first president.
(actually this one rocks)
Oh clio of little faith.
Best.
WINNER
Here's for anything that covers up those unnecessary flags around the base that serve only to cheapen the monument.
LOVE it!
Cheapen? They add to it...they're the pubes!
clear winner.
All I wanna know is how the graffiti artists got so high up on the monument.
This one rocks, Juliana. Awsome.
Anyone who's ever been down to the Mall on the 4th of July knows it looks much worse than this.
And as a 33rd Degree Master Mason and member of the Bavarian Illuminati (Mount Vernon Chapter), I have to say this is an enormous improvement.
Fnord.
This photo is cheating. It's not touched up. It's a genuine archived photo from the Barry years.
My fave thing is the graffitti of Dear Leader Smirking Chimp as Micky Mouse...
For authenticity's sake, the graffiti really should have included Cool "Disco" Dan, the Simple City Crew, "snitches get stitches", or even Borf.
Can we keep the Touch Up DC going for a little longer? It's great!
WOW
Maybe a very eery picture, but it's definitely a winner. Very, very good "touch up."
I hate this. I'm offended by the desecration of a sacred obelisk constructed to eternally honor war hero and founding father, George Washington (or GW, as we Colonials so fondly call him and his extended brand).
Seriously, I think the hack who created it must hate America and the founding fathers who created it.
That aside, it's way rad. Or whatever people say nowadays.
