This Week In Jazz
For the second week in a row, the dog days of August plague Jazz Land. Next week, we'll be telling you all about the Duke Ellington Jazz Festival, but until then, enjoy your holiday and check out these cool shows.

>> Legendary blues pianist Mose Allison begins a four night stand at Blues Alley on Thursday. Tickets to the 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. sets are available here. $25 + $10 food/drink minimum.
>> This weekend's performer at Twins Jazz made us so curious that we just had to declare him this week's must see. Part of Reggie Workman's Sculptured Sound Series, the club welcomes jazz harpist (yes, harpist) Edmar Castaneda (pictured) for 9 p.m. and 11 p.m. sets. Tickets are available here. $18
