Already hooked on Ken Burn's new PBS documentary, The War? Get more insane detail at Politics and Prose at from Andrew Nagorski, a senior editor at Newsweek who served two tours as Moscow bureau chief as he reads from his new book about the Battle of Moscow, The Greatest Battle: Stalin, Hitler, and the Desperate Struggle for Moscow That Changed the Course of World War II. 7 p.m., free.

Caribbean poet Kwame Dawes and D.C.'s own Reuben Jackson will read from their own poems, and from the new collection, Poems from Guantanamo, at Chapters. 7 p.m., free.
