About Tonight

>> It appears as if there are still tickets available to see handsome Swedish crooner Jens Lekman at Black Cat tonight, which is preposterous. The box office opens promptly at 8 p.m., so get yourselves over to get in line for what will surely be a spectacularly moody rainy day show, with Patrick Cleandenim and Viktor Sjöberg. Tickets are $14 at the door, and the show begins at 8.

>> Don't miss our lengthy interview with Travis Morrison, and certainly don't miss his show at Rock and Roll Hotel tonight as part of a benefit show for Survivors and Advocates of Empowerment, with Ra Ra Rasputin and Jukebox the Ghost. 8:30 p.m., $12 at the door.

>> The Modernist Society hosts its monthly salon at Bourbon in Adams Morgan tonight, this time featuring erotic photographer and filmmaker Richard Kern (that link is NSFW). Show up at 8 p.m. for the open bar, hear Kern speak about the difference between his art and porn at 9 p.m., and stick around for dancing with music from DJs D-Mac and Neville Chamberlain afterward.

You're telling us to go to two shows at the same time! Perhaps I should roll a die in order to decide?

DC United played last night. They play again next Thursday. Maybe you could mention that next week.
