Friday's Overheard in DC had a good comment thread about tipping movers, and monkeyrotica adds his usual twisted viewpoint:
I usually tip my movers with raw meat. After three days in the sunken well in my basement, a guy can work up an appetite.

In the Full Kee post, lemonlaug makes a good point about Chinese restaurants having numerous off the menu dishes:
This is a problem with Chinese restaurants everywhere, too many things on the menu. I go into these places and I know that there are some things better than others, but you sure as hell can't tell from the menu. Full Kee for example has separate sections titled "Chef Recommendation", "Chef Specialty", and none of those titles means anything. So Chinese restaurants take note: I want to eat what you make the best, I can go anywhere and get generic fried meat bits, so take a machete to the menu so that I don't eat something bad and never come back...

DCfist makes a pretty funny fake Leno joke on the post about Capitol fires:
I guess this means Craig isn't the only thing that's flaming in those restrooms... HEY-OH!

pants tells us something new about the Galaxy Hut's bartender Bill Arthur:
Bill was also on some america's most wanted or soemthing similar recently. I can;t remember if he was playing the dead guy or the guy who was dragging the body around and throwing it off of a cliff. Bill's the best bartender in the east and the west.

sfw is worried about low water pressure overshadowing lead in the water:
And this will push the lead pipe situation right off the table. And so, those of us who STILL have illegal levels of lead in our water will continue to be ignored.

Invisible Sun is a big fan of putting voting rights signs on trash cans around the city:
i think this is a GREAT idea to raise consciousness regarding this issue. visitors, especially, need to be aware of our plight. while the new license plates is a wonderful idea, many people don't read them. but everyone would notice these notices on garbage bins.
