Update: Pedro and Vinny's Burrito Cart May Disappear

Burritojohn%282%29.jpgToday's Washington Post Food Section reported Pedro and Vinny's Burrito Cart would be shuttering on November 20. The intended move and handover we reported on October 30 was not mentioned. Instead, proprietor John Rider told WaPo that he had not found any buyers. Did the deal fall through?

DCist spoke to our favorite Burrito Cart guy this morning to find out the details. According to Rider, the last time he spoke with William Risbrook (the intended new Burrito Cart guy) was last week, and he has since "fallen off the face of the earth." While he is still hoping that he can pass the business on to Risbrook, who already has a license for the new 14th and L location, that possibility seems increasingly unlikely.

So if anyone knows the whereabouts of William Risbrook, there's a man on 15th and K who would like to know, and hundreds of burrito cart addicts who are relying on him.

Aha! This explains why there was no cart to be found when I went looking for a burrito yesterday!

Since I have never had a burrito from this vendor I could care less.

What happened to the hot dog cart that used to be out in front of the municipal building/DMV on C St.?
