Flickr user musely gets a gold star today for both effort and execution, for this clever series of shots lining up currency with the D.C. buildings depicted on them. We suspect this is one of those things that seems simple, but in practice is a lot more difficult than it looks to get everything in focus and lined up perfectly. The nice thing about our city? You can tour all those landmarks and plenty more without ever having to take any of that $85 out of your pocket.

DCist blows too

HamOnRye: huh?

as for this POTD, genius.

It also looks like musely had to stick his hands through the fence at the White House. I wonder if he had to explain himself to the security guards before or after taking the photo.

Aww, how cute. Reminds me of the pictures my aunt used to take of my siblings and me "holding" the Washington Monument. Gold star, indeed.

I want to see someone line up the $1 bill floaty-eye pyramid.

very clever!

This is the best POTD in a long time. Too bad he didn't line the $3 bill up with the fountain in Dupont Circle *groan*

oops. sorry. got frustrated with an error telling me I comment too much. I rarely comment. Just a rush of blood...forgive me. Great shots.

Fantastic.

Very cool!
