They took the fucking Capitol Christmas Tree through residential Capitol Hill at 5:30 A.M. with a HUGE entourage, including some of the loudest sirens I've ever heard. And it went on for a very long time (as far as processionals go)

Why in the name of all that's holy (or not) was a siren escort necessary, at 5:30 am?

Talk about converting us previously apathetic folks into foot soldiers for the War on Christmas....
