>> Durham, NC-based group Little Brother are two of the hardest-working, and most entertaining, rappers in the business. See if Phonte breaks out into an '80s pop tune-singing alter-ego during their Black Cat show. Evidence of Dilated Peoples and Reef the Lost Cause will also be performing. 9 p.m., $15.

>> The first ever Bloomingdale Holiday Art Market takes place from 3 to 9 p.m. outside the Big Bear Cafe. Seven local artists will serve up arts and crafts along with hot cider.

>> The National Symphony Orchestra hosts its Prelude Concert at the Kennedy Center’s Millennium Stage. Members of the NSO will play in small ensembles. 6 p.m., Free.

>> The Filene Center at the Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts hosts its Annual Holiday Sing-A-Long from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m, featuring The United States Marine Band leading the audience in traditional holiday songs. Free, but donations of new, unwrapped toys for Toys for Tots are encouraged.

>> The Edward Hopper exhibit at the National Gallery of Art is sponsoring a free performance of the opera Later the Same Evening, written composer John Musto and librettist Mark Campbell, that is inspired by Hopper's work. The production will be performed by musicians from the University of Maryland’s Opera Studio at 6:30 p.m. at the National Gallery.
