Photo of the Day: December 10, 2007

This is actually the first snow-covered Photo of the Day for this season. Clearly I was just waiting for something monumental. Oh, what do you want? It's Monday. And Flickr user *Toshio* does, in fact, have an impressive photo here -- I'm even more surprised by daytime photos of D.C. cultural sites that don't have a single person in sight. EXIF.
Speaking of impressive, last night we reached 15,000 photos in the DCist Flickr pool. Remember, when submitting your photo to the pool, you should also tag it "dcist" along with anything else that's in the photo (i.e. "hydrant," "Adams Morgan," "baseball"), because it enables us to search back through all 15,000 images to use on our various posts during the day.
While you're at it, don't forget to submit your best images to our 2008 DCist Exposed pool (after submitting your application and entry fee), and join us this Sunday, 2 p.m., at Rocket Bar in Gallery Place for a photographer's meet-up.

Cool shot, but wasn't a similar one featured as Photo of the Day recently? Without the snow, and little more symmetrical?
I have the sudden urge to run up to that thing screaming and beat it with a thigh bone. But that's true of most things I see in DC.
