BarneyCam is Back and Worse Than Ever
The First Family has put out another one of their cringe-worthy "BarneyCam" holiday videos, featuring stilted conversations between them and their dogs, Barney and Miss Beazley. This year's video features the two dogs sitting around with blank stares while the Bushes tell them that they want to be Junior Park Rangers. It doesn't make any more sense when you watch it.
The White House has also posted a handy transcript of the video, in case you'd rather read that than suffer through the indignity of watching country singer Alan Jackson and former British Prime Minister Tony Blair shill for the Bushes in their Christmas card to the country.

I can accept the administration's interpretation of this as "coersion" and not "torture" but I don't understand what information they're trying to extract from the viewer. In any case, I sincerely hope the CIA sees fit to destroy these tapes as soon as possible.

that dog is really cute.
I think the first one was the best and it really did have a doggie cam feel to it. The rest of them are cute, but over produced. I want more Barney action!
It's nice to see Tony Blair is getting work.
just from reading the transcripts, i'd rather watch regular-creepy Barney than this "Barneycam."
and we wonder why the rest of the world laughs at us now.

All Barney wants for Christmas is his dignity back.
You know as much as DCist and you folks hate this stuff I actually like it. The Jr Ranger jackets that they put Barney and Ms Beazley in aren't as horrendous as some of the costumes folks whip out around Halloween or during Pride and it's about the only thing this administration has done that I like and (for some god-forsaken reason) look forward to.
So Yay BarneyCam but more importantly this is the 2nd to last BarneyCam video we'll ever see!! Double Yay!
