Injured Officer Was Targeted by Stolen Limo Driver
A 15-year-old has been arrested in connection with running down MPD bicycle officer Brian Bobick with a stolen limousine on Thursday. The Post is reporting that Bobick, 30, remains in critical but stable condition after being struck by the limo on the 4200 block of Ord St. NE, and that he pushed his partner out of harm's way just in time.
More disturbing is a report from WTOP's Mark Seagraves that the arrested teenager who was behind the wheel of the stolen vehicle tried to run over and kill Bobick and his partner on purpose. The suspect, who police believe may not have acted alone, reportedly confessed to investigators that he was trying to kill the two D.C. police officers because Bobick's partner had hassled him in the past.

The injured cop definitely sounds like a true hero. Best wishes for a speedy recovery.
As for the kid who tried to kill the two cops, sucks for you. You're screwed. And rightly so.
If by screwed you mean a few months at Oak Hill and then probation until 21, then, yes, he's screwed.
Yeah, don't worry, he will be back on the street to mug you in a few months.
This is my stepson that was hit. It almost killed him. He has a concussion, almost every bone in his face broken, and 7 teeth gone. He is still in an induced coma on life support. I am devestated. He is one of the finest people that I know. Please pray for him. I just got home from the hospital. It is a miracle that he is not killed. The force of the crash broke his bike in half. I will never forgive or understand the person that did this. Hopefully they will get their day before God.
