>> The National Park Service is hosting a public meeting on the unification of design elements and visitor facilities on the National Mall. Head over to room M09 in the Old Post Office Pavilion at Pennsylvania Ave. and 12th St. NW from 4 to 8 p.m. to throw in your two cents about how to improve the Mall.

>> A lot of bars and restaurants have been opening up their patios thanks to this unseasonably warm January weather -- last night we actually dined outside at St. Ex. Take advantage and head out to your favorite spot with outdoor seating. If you don't have one in mind, try Washingtonian's nicely designed Happy Hour Finder, which allows you to search both by neighborhood and whether the establishment has outdoor seating.

>> There's about eleventy kabillion Returned Peace Corps Volunteers in the D.C. metro area, and tonight there's a meet-up for them planned at Busboys and Poets' Langston room from 6 to 8 p.m. Prospective Peace Corps volunteers are also welcome to come and mingle and ask questions.

>> In case you hadn't noticed, there's almost nothing going on tonight. Most of the music venues are dark and there aren't even any special movie screenings we can recommend. So enjoy watching those New Hampshire primary numbers roll in on MSNBC, and if you'd rather not, there's ummm, still tickets to the Wizards vs. the Rockets available for tonight. Tip-off is 7 p.m.
