Who Should Be the Skins Next Head Coach?
It's that time of year again. The Super Bowl interrupts post-holiday diets, New Year's resolutions begin to fade, and Dan Snyder goes on his annual power-trip trying to convince the rest of the NFL and his Redskins' poor, unfortunate fanbase that he's not merely a competent owner, but a brilliant one. Yes, the past 15 years have been pretty trying for Skins fans, and Dan Snyder apparently likes it that way. He's fired Gregg Williams, the players' choice to take over for retired legend Joe Gibbs and the man who offered the most stability and consistency -- two things the franchise has sorely missed over the past decade.
So with the popular frontrunner out of the running, plenty of questions persist: Why hasn't Snyder interviewed former Redskin great Russ Grimm, a promising assistant with the Cardinals? Has anyone thought of hiring an experienced, proven General Manager to help steer the search? What the hell prompted Snyder to interview Jim Fassel of all people? It appears now that the team will wait until after the Super Bowl to interview Giants defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo, as well as Patriots offensive wunderkind Josh McDaniels, who both looks and is five years younger than Todd Collins. Colts assistant coach Ron Meeks has returned for a second interview, while the latest story has Snyder courting former Detroit and San Francisco boss Steve Mariucci.
Once again, nothing looks likely to be decided until next week, meaning that current Redskin position coaches are to continue scouting and personnel work while they wait to find out whether or not the team plans to fire them. Sounds like a great work environment, right?
Let's hear your thoughts: Who do you want to be the next Redskins coach?

and when i click on 'edit,' the center of the screen is blank, while header and info on left is still there. if i click on 'view profile' then the profile info shows in the center of screen as it should. but when i click on 'edit,' there's nothing to edit! grrrrr
enough work for me, going home now.
andrew, you have the first name of an evil bostonian who broke my heart, but other than that, thanks, and tomorrow i'll check back here to see if you're a good giver, of tech advice that is :)
Speaking from experience, any job at any time associated with the Redskins is a terrible work environment. They have the highest turnover of staff, top to bottom (coaches to the people who sell you beer on gameday), in the league--so much so that the NFL sends reps every off-season to try to teach the higher ups lessons on retention. Note to Goodell: stop wasting your money, it isn't working.
