Photo of the Day: January 21, 2008

This charming, yet kind of sad winter scene, titled Alone, was taken by SuperTopher on his way to work last week, and the story that he tells with it adds a lot of character to the shot. Every day when he passes this tree he imagined it in a perfectly framed photograph, and when the snow fell -- while the rest of us complained about the miserable traffic and the cold -- he saw what he'd been waiting for, stopped by the side of the road, and captured the moment.
