>> Iota is offering up free "Gumbo shots" from 6 - 9 p.m. to coincide with the annual Clarendon Mardi Gras parade, which starts at 8 p.m. and travels along Wilson Blvd. between the Clarendon and Court House Metro stations.

>> Busboys and Poets is throwing what looks to be one of the better Super Tuesday results watching parties tonight, though pretty much any bar in town with more than one TV is probably a good bet to find other politics nerds looking to get tipsy while waiting for the polls to close across the country. Starting at 6 p.m. at Busboys, catch live returns on a large screen, and partake of politically-themed drink specials and political trivia. Other good bets for Super Tuesday drinking: Stetson's on U Street, Union Pub on Capitol Hill is offering cheap beers and half-priced wings, and Bourbon has a special Super Tuesday menu with all-day happy hour specials.
