The best thing about Georgetown Cupcake is or course, THE CUPCAKES. Moist, CreamCheese Topping, Elegant and now they have these new boxes that speed up the process and enable them to arrive at their destination safer.........unless they are eaten on the way home. The next best thing about the GTCupcake is the owners. They are seen in the back of the store with icing bags gently decorating each one as though it was headed for a dignatary. You can see thier effort is worthwhile: a quality product that has been consistant due largely to the quality ingredients they insist on. The third thing I will mention before I devour my little cupcake is the staff. With a jillion people in line, many who have waited for a bit, some are sweet while some are tempermental or just plain rude, the folks behind the counter sincerely seem to try to make everyone happy; a job that is not easy when dealing with the public. When I was in line, the salesgirl saw a little boy in line with his mom and fawned all over about how cute he was and wanted to know which was his favorite, etc. Kinda gives that "aw factor" in a cupcake shop. Something's right in the world when you see this place.

They don't sell from the displays, they take from the back racks. Georgetown Cupcake is way better than Baked and Wired in appearance and taste. Bigger is not better in this case. Georgetown Cupcake is amazing and the people who work there are really friendly.

I like Georgetown Cupcake, but they really need to put a piece of glass over the cupcakes. As it is now they usually take cash and give change directly over the cupcakes, totally unsanitary!

I just drove down today from Bethesda after a doctor's visit with my sick wife who wanted something sweet at Georgetown Cupcake. When I arrived at noon, the door was closed, with a note that said knock if you called ahead. A woman came up and knocked and the owner opened the door. I inquired as to the shortly and she said we are closed now -- even though the posted time on the wall said they should be open. I said this is the second time I have come here and you were out of product or now this time closed. She said and I quote, "We don't care". I asked her again if she means she doesn't care that customers are inconvenienced and to please repeat what she said and she repeated herself verbatim. That will be my last visit.
