MUSIC: Deerhunter's current hiatus has given their controversial but talented frontman, Bradford Cox, a chance to tour under his solo and more experimental moniker, Atlas Sound. This stop at the Black Cat Backstage follows the release of his debut, Let the Blind Lead Those Who Can See But Cannot Feel. 9 p.m. $10.

DJ NIGHT: Ian Svenonius is launching a new regular dance night at Bourbon in Adams Morgan tonight. Every third Thursday the prolific lead singer, internet TV host and now author will host "Bohemian Grove", a DJ set that will undoubtedly be as eclectic as the career of "DJ Name Names". 10 p.m. to 2 a.m., with $3 Brooklyn, Bell's and select Bourbon.

MUSIC: Chrisette Michele, a Grammy nominee for Best Female R&B Performance on her song, “If I Have My Way”, is at the 9:30 Club tonight along with opening act and native Washingtonian, Wes Felton a.k.a. W. Ellington Felton. 7:30 p.m., $23.

MOVIES: Both the 2007 Academy Award nominees for Live Action Short Films and the nominees for Animated Short Films are playing tonight at Landmark's E Street Cinemas. Animated shorts start at 7 p.m., and the live action films begin at 9:15 p.m. Read a synopsis of all the films to be shown here.

DJ NIGHT: XM’s resident “Raw and Rhyme” DJ, DJ Bee, will be spinning tracks produced by the late James “Jay Dee/J Dilla” Yancey all night tonight at the Eighteenth Street Lounge as part of a tribute afterparty to honor Dilla's memory. 10 p.m., $5 suggested donation to the Maureen Yancey Fund.
