Expect Red Line Delays This Weekend
WMATA is telling customers to add at least 30 minutes of travel time to their trips on the Red line this weekend thanks switch maintenance work at the Medical Center Metrorail station. Inbound and outbound trains between the Friendship Heights and Grosvenor-Strathmore stations will share one track from 9 p.m., Friday, Feb. 1, to closing (midnight) Sunday, Feb. 3. Every other Red line train in the direction of Shady Grove will terminate at the Friendship Heights station and return to the Glenmont station.

Green Line: Customers traveling between the Columbia Heights and Georgia Avenue stations should add up to 20 minutes of travel time due to regular track maintenance. Inbound and outbound trains between the two stations will share one track from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 2 and Sunday, Feb. 3.
Blue and Orange Line: Customers traveling between the Foggy Bottom-GWU and Clarendon stations on the Orange line and the Foggy Bottom-GWU and Arlington Cemetery stations on the Blue Line should add up to 20 minutes of travel time for their trips because Metro is providing Verizon Wireless track access to conduct normal maintenance. Inbound and outbound trains will share one track between these locations from midnight to closing (3 a.m.), Friday, Feb. 1, and Saturday, Feb. 2.
