Sure, Flickr user furcafe actually took this photo many years ago, but he just added it to the DCist pool yesterday and we loved seeing some people enjoying nice weather in the park. Soon enough, spring will be upon us (did anyone else find daffodils popping up in their yard this morning?) and we'll be able to enjoy sunny, mild weather and leave our bulky jackets at home. These ladies are practicing Capoeira in Meridian Hill Park in September, 2003.

why does everyone want the warmer weather all the time? Last summer was too damn hot, and this one could be worse. The idiot weatherman this morning was putting a spin on the virtues of a rainy Friday "but it will be warm" like that's a good thing. I'd prefer sunny and cold any time. Warm and rainy = fetid swamp

I agree! 50 degrees and sunny with some clouds would be just perfect for me!
I concur as well. Warmer weather means that those sweltering hot (as in you sweat a minute after you leave an A/C'd building) days are just around the corner.
But hey... at least the Ride On buses in MD'll offer free rides!
Ah, I love it when half of D.C. calls me a wimp for disliking the cold weather, but I see it's just because y'all can't take the heat!

we just saw daffodils on 16th street down by lafayette park on our lunchtime walk. people were really excited to see them.
