Ah, parades. They bring out not just the celebratory, but the weird and wacky, the fashion challenged, the politicos grasping at any reason to mourn for olden days and, of course, the strange graffiti on latex glove balloons. But we appreciate it when the toys come out for a little performance down the parade route, like this poor guy attempting to maneuver his enormous-tire bike. Flickr user sintixerr caught the rider trying his best to hop back on. EXIF.

So, don't like the old timey bicycles, eh? Someone's not getting invited to my box social.
More commonly known as a penny-farthing bicycle.
monkey -- No, I *do* like them (e.g. PotD selection) I expect to see that invite and a lengthy apology in the mailbox soon.
farty -- Awesome, thank you, I was hoping someone would save me some googling time on that one.
He didn't fall off his bike. He is just trying to adjust his Smartpass so he can pay the congestion charges. Tis two bits per league, y'know.
How can you possibly lump the visual poetry of penny-farthings in with such abominations as latex glove balloons and the fashion challenged?
Now, monocycles, those things are completely insane.
