TUESDAY:
>> The Hip Hop Caucus and Amnesty International host the "We Care Concert" 9:30 Club. Featured artists include Mambo Sauce, Saigon, Wise Intelligent, and former No Limit rapper Mia X. $15, 7:30 p.m.

WEDNESDAY:
>> Chris Burns and Ed Dudes will be spinning their funky selections during a "This Ain't No Disco" set at Cafe Saint-Ex. 10 p.m.

FRIDAY:
>> Local soul vocalist Alison Carney has been helping other D.C. acts out for a while, but now it's her time to shine. She'll be performing with her band at Artmosphere Cafe in Mount Rainer along with Shelby Giles. $10, 9 p.m.

>> A Black Cat Backstage regular, DJ Dredd will be hosting "Close 2 the Edge" along with fellow turntable specialist, DJ Stylus. Expect golden era hip-hop and other quality tunes. $6, 9 p.m.

>> The weekly Rebirth event at Mirrors (33 New York Ave. NE) will be hosting a Winter Music Conference send-off featuring DJs Divine and Brett Dancer. $10, 10 p.m.

SATURDAY:
>> When it comes to danceble funk, Amp Fiddler (pictured) and Tortured Soul are hard to beat. The Detroit-based Fiddler's musical resume is long and includes sessions with Prince and Parliament while New York's Tortured Soul has made a name for themselves as a band that plays house music. They'll be joined at the 9:30 Club by Baltimore's Fertile Ground. $20, 9 p.m.

SUNDAY:
>> If you're of a certain age, you can probably remember the first time Del The Funkyhomosapien hit your television screen. After 15 years, the Hieroglyphics crew member hasn't lost that appeal. He'll be at the 9:30 Club with, among others, Chip Fu of Fu-Schnickens. $20, 7:30 p.m.

MONDAY:
>> British downtempo sibling duo Morcheeba are in the States to promote their newest release, Dive Deep, at the 9:30 Club. $25, 7:30 p.m.

>> Following on Morcheeba's heels and gearing up for the WMC, DJ JahSonic will be spinning at Marvin which will feature some of the best electronic music ever made. 9 p.m.
