Nats Sponsor Stadium Open House

nats%20new%20stadium.jpgAfter all the good reviews of the new baseball stadium, the owners of the Nats seem more than happy to flaunt their newest city-built acquisition. And what better way than an open house?

This Friday and Saturday the team is hosting a big open house for fans and residents alike, kinda like the housewarming party you throw when you move into a new place. Well, if your living room fit 41,000 and had a 5,000 square-foot high-definition video screen, of course. The concessions will even be open for sampling, hopefully without some of the longer lines that soured more than a few fans on opening night.

All you have to do is RSVP, print out a confirmation pass, and show up on Friday between 6 and 8 p.m. or on Saturday between 12 and 4 p.m.

How about link to the website for the confirmation. All you do is cut and paste and can't get that right!!

old_city: Maybe he's trying to make people work a little bit for it?

Oops! Forgot it.

Here it is.

Anyone else think it's weird that the Confirmation Page that you're supposed to print to admit your party has absolutely no information about the size of the party to be admitted? Here's hoping that it doesn't become a headache on Friday night.

Um, do people really want to go to a baseball stadium if there's no baseball being played? That sounds pretty awful.

i would if the half smokes were free.

damnitall! why the hell do they have to do this when i'm going to be going out of town?!?

This weekend is going to be hectic, but I may as well go, too. Should provide some good blog and Flickr material. Just keep those Dippin' Dots away from me!

"While PETA, as a charity, cannot afford this multimillion-dollar advertising opportunity, we would like to propose that you rent us the rights until you find a permanent sponsor. For that interim period, we would call the stadium GoVeg.com Field. [...]

"PETA believes that the name would be a good fit since PETA got its start some 28 years ago in Washington and the Nationals Park already features several vegetarian options for health-conscious and animal-friendly baseball fans," the release says. "Newly vegetarian sports fans will keep coming out to the ballgame long after their hotdog-chomping counterparts have succumbed to heart attacks, strokes, and cancer."

Meanwhile, aggressively obnoxious vegetarians can enjoy their prolonged lives filled with meaningful beatings at the hands of annoyed carnivores. How about GoFuckYourselves.com Field?

Shit, I meant to put that all in qoutes....
