Photo of the Day: April 11, 2008
Today's photo of the Tidal Basin and everything that comes with it this time of year comes from a different angle than most are used to. It looks as if Flickr contributor va6669 was out in one of the paddle boats and caught this image right in time with the bird flying away in the left side of the frame. It's the last weekend of the festival, and it still has some events, including tomorrow's parade, left to see.

One good thing about the cold gloomy weather of the past week or so, was that it help preserve the blossoms for a few more days of peak time.
i like the little frame that the photographer added to the inside of the photo. very subtle and elegant.
