Photo of the Day: April 16, 2008
Flickr user akkleis took a photo of this kissy couple at last weekend's Japan Street Festival. She said about the image:
It was a busy street with tons of people and they were just there making out in the middle of it. I wanted to get the feel of fast movement around them while they stood still, but, alas, I didn't quite capture what I was hopeing for.We sure like what came out anyway. A few commenters compared it to Alfred Eisenstaedt's famous V-J Day Kiss, and while it might not be so timeless, it's always nice to draw inspiration from such classics.

I'm more inspired by that huge guy on the right who seems to have eaten the entire DC Visitor Center. Did he wash it down with the DC Water and Sewer Authority?
Um... isn't there a suggested fashion rule about undergarments darker then your skirt? just saying, you can totally "make out" this girl's bottoms.
@Disco Stu: If you're talking about the darker band above the white part, I think she's just wearing multiple layers of shirts. That, and there's some shadows at work, too, as you can tell from her leg.
Oops, there's should be there're. You get the idea though.
Yeah, I checked the full-size version and I still couldn't see what Disco Stu was talking about, unless he was referring either of the two (fairly clear) phenomena mellbell points out.
He doesn't seem very into it.

I think it was just some random Japanese girl who ran up to that guy and started putting her tongue in his mouth.
He's so not into her. He's only there because he thought it would shut her up and get her off his back about how "we never do anything together anymore!" You know who's idea it was to even go to that stupid Japanese Street Festival? Sure as hell wasn't his. He doesn't even like Japanese things. You're thinking, that's not true, he liked Rashomon. Well, that's not how he remembered it.
Funny thing is, right after this photo was taken, she pushed him away weeping and screaming, "KISS ME LIKE YOU MEAN IT!" Man, they really deserve eachother.
you gentlemen are clearly too polite to ogle, but her ass is clearly darker than her skirt.
