good job, councilman thomas....i won't not support you for voting against your constituents when you're up for re-election...

Holy shit, Princess Sparkle Pony's photo is the creepiest thing ever!
Wait, can I say "holy shit" when the Pope is in town?

"Thomas received more than 100 phone calls and e-mails from constituents who feared that he would use his power as a superdelegate to vote for Clinton despite the city's overwhelming support of Obama in the Potomac Primary."

So by that logic, Hillary can expect support from all of the unpledged Superdelegates from California, Ohio, Texas, New York, Massachusetts... you know, the big states that she's won?

did she get over 75% of the vote in any of those states?

Most of us, already knew that Harry T had no backbone.

The only state/territory/nation's capital Obama won over 75% thus far is Hawaii.

alright, so he didn't get over 75% in DC, he landed right at 75% (source: wapo)

my point stands, he won really big here. his delegate total should reflect that.

It is a valid point. I am not arguing that. He did have overwhelming support within this city, and clearly I am in a minority.

But, I guess you have to look at what overwhelming means. Because there are a lot of people elsewhere that are jumping from Clinton to Obama where there isn't overwhelming support for either candidate.

I am simply following your logic. If the majority of a state/territory/nation's capital supports one candidate over the other, by that logic, all of the unpledged delegates should follow suit. And that includes the big states won by her.

we're both dancing around the same idea here. when you said

So by that logic, Hillary can expect support from all of the unpledged Superdelegates from California, Ohio, Texas, New York, Massachusetts... you know, the big states that she's won?

you were kind of right, but not entirely. i never said ALL the delegates should go to whoever won (i don't prefer the republicans' winner-take-all system). i just think it should be proportional, and since obama won 75% of the vote in the city, he should get 75% of the delegates. of course, the way it's going right now, he's looking at much less than that here.

however they work it out in other states is up to them, but i'd like DC to go the way we voted. that's all.

Holy shit, Princess Sparkle Pony's photo is the creepiest thing ever! Is it the wang?
