Pope Culture: Leftovers
We're highlighting odd or interesting pieces of pop culture we find popping up around Pope Benedict XVI's visit to D.C. and New York this week.
Still haven't had enough of Pope Benedict XVI's trip to the United States? Check out some of these intriguing pope-themed items available for sale on the internet.

Pope Benedict XVI Nested Dolls, available for $30 from 1-800-Porcelain.com. We're not exactly up on our other big-time Catholic figures. Do you know who the smaller dolls depict?

What better way to honor the pontiff's German heritage than with a Benedict XVI Steinbach Nutcracker? $299.95, and only 2 left in stock via Amazon, so you'd better hurry!

the smallest nesting doll is john xxiii, the one to it's left is a young john paul ii, and i think the one to the farthest right is john paul i
just STOP with the frickin pope posts!!!! I cant stand it anymore!!!
Jeez, stinkeye, calm down before you pope a blood vessel or something.
Yeah seriously, those statements are becoming quite unpopeular
I believe IMGoph is right, but that is kind of strange...they left out Paul VI. At least that would make sense chronologically.
I totally want that nutcracker, he looks like a super hero! Na na na na na na na na Popeman!
My favorite piece of pope kitsch, for sale outside Nationals Park yesterday, was a bleacher pad that said "savior seat". Awesome.
so if wmata gets shit for the pope bobblehead, then why is a pope nutcracker okay? i'm confused as to what constitutes as blasphemy.
apparently the bobblehead had a red zucchetto (which he would have worn as a cardinal) on instead of a white one.
Technically, blasphemy is disrespecting one or more gods. I wouldn't go so far as saying BXVI is a god.
I thought there was a whole thing in the Bible about not worshiping false idols.
